“When a client comes to me with a wish list, it becomes my wish list too. I put my heart and soul into achieving it.”
Sakti grew up in India in a house built of brick and lime mortar. Even from a young age, “I was curious about that house,” she says. She recalls comparing its thermal comfort and the durability of the construction to other newer houses. It was the start of a lifelong interest in architecture.
After completing her Bachelor of Architecture at Anna University in Thanjavur and working in India for several years, Sakti moved to the United States. She pursued an M.B.A. at the University of North America in Virginia, then worked with architecture firms specializing in single- and multi-family residential buildings before coming north to work with Solares.
Sakti takes enormous pride in delivering houses that make her clients happy, especially when those houses are highly energy efficient. “I like being able to contribute to sustainability for future generations,” she says. “Not everyone gets to do that in their career. That’s something that gives me energy every day.”
