Lilia’s role with Solares includes a variety of design-work; product and materials selection; and the detailed work of producing, checking and coordinating construction document packages to bring our projects through to build-ready status. She also manages our in-house product and materials library.
During her time in Ryerson University’s Bachelor of Architectural Science program, Lilia was given the 2010 Jonas Spencer-Sales award for academic excellence in the area of environment and sustainability. Her fourth-year thesis, which focused on creating a set of standards that would bring LEED up to the Living Building Challenge, was shown at the Euroregional Conference for Sustainable Building in Maastricht, Netherlands.
Lilia also plays the flute, enjoys origami, and takes care of two cats, probably not at the same time.
